Sussex Spaniel: These little spaniels originated in England in the late 18th century. They were originally used as sporting dogs who would assist hunters and bark when their good nose found a trail. However, their barking and lack of speed led them to lose their jobs as hunter's companions, and Sussex Spaniels became favored just as companions.
Airedale Terrier: Originating in the 1800s in England, this King of Terriers was a versatile hunter. Its job was hunting badgers, rats, foxes, otters, and retrieving birds. Today, this dog is excellent for being guarding and protecting as well as working as a police dog. They are adventurous, playful, intelligent, and are protective companions.
