Killarney National Park, Ireland Matteo Galacci Flickr The men were entranced by her beauty, her long golden hair, fine garments made of silk and jewels of gold and precious stones. Niamh had heard about Oisin and his talent for reciting beautiful poetry, and after laying eyes on him immediately fell in love. After a few days in Conemmara it was time for Niamh to return to Tir na nÓg but the thought of leaving Oisin pulled at her heart and so asked Oisin to come with her to Tir na nÓg.

Saint Mary River, West Glacier Park, Montana. The river rises as a stream on Gunsight Mountain in Glacier National Park and flows into Gunsight Lake, then flows into Saint Mary Lake, exits the park and flows on into Lower St. Mary Lake in the Blackfeet Indian Reservation. From the reservation, the St. Mary River flows into Alberta, Canada, and into the St. Mary Reservoir. It flows into the Oldman River which eventually reaches the Saskatchewan River.

One of the reasons I want to go to Madagascar. Another majestic baobab tree reaching for the sky. Mama nature doing her thing...
Adansonia grandidieri: The Baobab tree grows in Africa and Australia. It is known as a “Giant Tree,” growing 30 meters high with the trunk up to 11 meters in diameter. They can store up to 32,000 US gallons of water inside their swollen trunks, which enables them to endure the harsh drought conditions of their area.
A great specimen of Baobab tree [Adansonia grandidieri; Family: Malvaceae] out there near Morondava, Madagascar
Near the city of Morondava, on the West coast of Madagascar lies an ancient forest of Baobab trees. Unique to Madagascar the endemic species is sacred to the Malagasy people and rightly so. Walking amongst these giants is like nothing else on this planet. Some of the trees here are over a thousand years old. It is a spiritual place, almost magical.

Grandidier’s Baobab (Adansonia grandidieri) is the biggest and most famous of Madagascar’s six baobab species. It has a massive cylindrical trunk, up to 3 m (9.8 ft) across, and can reach up to 25 m (82 ft) in height. The large, dry fruits of the baobab contain kidney-shaped seeds within an edible pulp. It is named after the French botanist and explorer Alfred Grandidier, who documented many of the animals and plants of Madagascar. (Photo: Bernard Gagnon) (via: Wikipe
