They should be eaten with some fat like a salad dressing as they are astringent and will make someone who is dry, drier. This is a great food for people wanting to loose weight do to the astringency-cuts fat.
The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. How cool is that?!
