Baby doll bed out of a small storage tote! (Made by my MIL.)

  • Michaela Craig

My mother in law made it. It's like she made a fitted sheet for the lid and there is some cotton batting under it to make it "bed like". The skirt has Velcro on it to make it stay on the tote- which has Velcro stuck to it also. Then she made a little quilt and pillow. It is the perfect size for an American girl doll and some clothes, etc. the tote is a Hefty brand under bed storage tote. Hope that helps

  • Michaela Craig

Oh, whatever tote or tub you use, should have the locking clips on it that lock on to the lid. Otherwise, the lid won't click on after you get the stuff on it or it would be too difficult for a little girl to get open by herself.

    Thank you..

How much do you charge for something like this

  • I Sew For You

Hi Terrie, I'm sorry, I just found your comment. Isn't this adorable! This one is 13 1/2 x 13 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. I can do this for 20.00 (+shipping). I can get the same ticking stripe and pretty close to the same blue chevron fabric I think. There are a lot of the chevron fabrics out there I just have to check the shades of blue. OR if you want a totally different fabric for the ruffles we can do that too. You just let me know.
