    The salt marshes of southern Spain’s Coto Doñana National Park

    Cargill salt ponds in our back yard, the San Francisco Bay. The red color is from the brine shrimp. There is currently a big debate in the Bay Area as to how to convert these salt ponds into some form of wetlands preserve and development.
