Vanilla Extract: 5 vanilla beans per 8 ounces of 70 proof alcohol.Any type of alcohol can be used, but bottom shelf vodka is most common because it will not add any additional flavors to the extract. Bourbon, rum and brandy can also be used. After 8 short weeks the extract is ready to enjoy.

Slow Cooker Refried Beans: made these for dinner 8/9/12 (big feast for friends coming over). I don't think I will ever buy canned again. These were restaurant quality and super easy!
