Freeze green onions in water bottles - shake out the right amount and return to the freezer! This is great! You always have to buy so many green onions and recipes usually never call for more than 3 stalks.
The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. We just use kitchen scissors to cut what we need for meals. I periodically empty out the water, rinse the roots off and give them fresh water.
Pops Potato onion, pepper, sausage recipe: 3 new red potaotes, 3 lg green peppers, 2 lg white onions, little smokie link sausages, 1/4 c oil. place in dish pour in oil, put sausage on top. cover with foil. 425 degrees till veggies are done. cook uncooked till sausage is brown. (I see shrimp in the picture)
