Allowance - Money is not earned by doing chores. Chores are part of being a family and are expected to be done. Allowance is used to teach financial responsibility. I like this idea, but I like having additional jobs that can be done for money too. Chores should be expected, but not totally unrewarded. People do get paid for working. Good life lessons.

I love this money system for kids. It comes from the book "The Entitlement Trap" by Richard and Linda Eyre. Best parenting book ever.
