Some of my favorite ways to use small flags is in several vintage creamers stacked on red transferware marching down the table center.

Simple ways to decorate for the Fourth - for a proper patriotic celebration

Of course, a 4th of July celebration wouldn’t be complete without an American flag. From small ones placed in transferware to large ones draped on the patio, flags are perfect party decor in large or small quantities.

However you celebrate, do it with that great American style and gusto. Entertaining should be casual, fun and of course shared with others.

I love seeing how people show their colors and decorate for all to see and enjoy. Some like to decorate in vintage Americana, and others like a coastal feel.

And some like a vibrant, colorful Fourth. I like them all and can’t get enough, as I was hunting-for-bunting on the beach streets of Orange County.

What colors summer more than red, white and blue? The iconic color trio are decorating many a porch, patio and pathway as the Fourth of July marches patriotically forward.

So, grab your red, white and blue throws, pillows, lanterns, dishes, glassware, candles and flowers. Remember those who have fought for our freedom, and then gather your family and friends to enjoy the first long weekend of the summer.
