A Voice for Selective Mutism...This was long and went a bit fast but I had tears in the end. As a parent to a young child with selective mutism you feel helpless and it is nice to hear from other's that have this. It gives me some sense of how my daughter feels. People Understood, Mental Health, Bible Reading, J2Girl Mental, People Yell, Social Anxiety Disorders, Socialanxieti, Health Revolutions, Dissociation Anxiety

Selective Mutism vs. Autism-Before I had ever heard of selective mutism, I was interested in autism. Lately, though, it's been getting on my nerves for receiving so much attention when selective mutism is equally common and potentially devastating for the child and his/her family.
