    Social anxiety is not something you can say you have when you’re just a little shy. It’s not something that makes you special or different. Try not being able to talk to anyone because you’re legitimately afraid of making a fool of yourself, try breaking down if people yell at you, and try getting low participation grades in class because you’re too afraid of raising your hand.

Selective Mutism vs. Autism-Before I had ever heard of selective mutism, I was interested in autism.
