The first of the Stieg Larsson trilogy; we read it for our book club and I couldn't put it down. I've seen the European movie and thought they did a good job of keeping with the book. Have yet to read 2 and 3. Can't wait!

"The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins /// Surprisingly well-written. The storyline is interesting and the characters aren't whiny and annoying. I read the trilogy really quickly, as I felt really involved with the story. The movie that's coming out in the spring should be pretty neat.

Reading it right now. I love this book so much!

Started reading this during reading time for my class, and ended up almost crying in front of a room full of 12-year-olds!

My father and I often try to find books we can share with each other. Not only did this book pass from my house to his, it flew through our entire family. A great read for just about anyone!

Just started reading per the wife's recommendation. Liked the first one.

"Guns, Germs, and Steel" - a great book about how civilization developed, and how location dictated what societies developed (in terms of domesticated animals, plants, and social structures as well). It is a sometimes dense book, but handles world history/culture well - it's a great foundation for learning and understanding world history.
