make your own sculpey clay who knew; comment of beany This version - with just the baking soda and cornstarch, doesn't mold particularly well, and cracks if it's thick. The cold porcelain molds easier, and is pretty cheap to make too. The best recipe I've tried used white glue, cornstarch, baby oil, vinegar, and glycerin. All of it's cheap and easy to find at the store. The version on this link is great for making thin, stamped ornaments, though - and can be air dried easily.

Play Dough Recipe 2 cups flour 2 cups warm water 1 cup salt 2 Tablespoons vegetable oil 1 Tablespoon cream of tartar Obviously you can increase or decrease the quantities depending on how much you want to make, but make sure you keep the ratios. You can add food colouring once all mixed to make it more interesting than a dull colour. It can start to stink a bit so you can add some scented oils like peppermint to improve this. USE NATURAL FOOD COLORING
