I adore everything Anna Quindlen has ever written!

"All That I Am" (a novel) by Anna Funder - Based on the true story of four young Germans (Ruth, Dora, Hans, and Ernst Toller) who fled their country in order to keep raising the alarm about what was happening in their homeland as Adolf Hitler came to power.

    The Anatomist's Wife

Novel by Kendare Blake. YA, Paranormal Romance, Ghosts, Urban Fantasy. Read in Jan.

I loved reading Jean Plaidy's historical novels as a kid and read a lot of them by the time I was 11 or 12. They're not bodice-rippers but very well-researched fictionalized accounts of key moments and figures from European history. Plaidy was so prolific, wrote under so many pen names, knew so much about history. The Sixth Wife is about Catherine Parr, who outlived (survived) Henry VIII.

Anna Quindlen is one of my favorite authors. She never lets me down. This is a must read. Great audiobook, too.
