My favorite Easter hymn - I can hear the organ and trumpet at All Saints blowing out the last verse

"Romans 7 is a record of the CONFLICT OF REGENERATE MAN WITH HIS OLD SELF... 'I would,' 'I do not,' 'I would not,' 'I do,' IS THE SAD CONFESSION OF DEFEAT which finds an echo in so many Christian hearts." ~ C.I. Scofield

John 17.11-24--humbles my heart to know that Jesus prayed for us before His death. Not only the 12, but disciples throughout the ages. Means me. Wowzer.

St. Christopher, a martyr killed in the reign of the 3rd century Roman Emperor Decius (reigned 249–251) or alternatively under the Roman Emperor Maximinus II Dacian (reigned 308–313). Patron saint of travellers and athletes. He is often symbolized as the "Christ Carrier".

Nearer My God To Thee / A former colleague of the Titanic's bandmaster, Wallace Hartley, reported that years earlier he had asked Hartley what he would do if he found himself on the deck of a sinking ship. Hartley responded that he would gather the band together to play "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" or "Nearer, My God, to Thee." The latter was reportedly Hartley's favorite hymn, and it was regularly played at the funerals of members of the Musicians' Union.
