Finally a solution for those "dead end" pins. If you see a pin you like, but the link doesn't go anywhere, drag and drop the picture from the pin onto the search box at the link. The results are pretty accurate! Then be sure to make a new pin when you locate the correct link (and maybe comment on the broken pin too), so the rest of us can check it out too!!! Genealogy is not called ancestor or family search or research because it looked sophisticated and complicated (& it can be both), but because you start with a search. The internet has information everywhere...but you need to know how to use a search engine to find it. I find Google to be the best search tool, thus the Google Search Infographic to guide you to the info you need.
If you want to pin a picture directly from Facebook.. 1. Install the "Pin it"-Bookmarklet 2. Click on the Facebook picture you want to pin 3. Right-click and choose "view image" 4. Make sure the .jpg-URL is shown in your in your browsers address bar. 5. Pin it! :) blog.webfeuer.at/... Good to know finally!!
