swissted is an ongoing project by graphic designer mike joyce. drawing from his love of punk rock and swiss modernism, two movements that have (almost) nothing to do with one another, mike has redesigned vintage punk, hardcore, new wave, and indie rock show flyers into international typographic style posters. each design is set in lowercase berthold akzidenz-grotesk medium (not helvetica).

Beautiful example of editorial design. I love the balance and rhythm of the angular shapes that dance across almost each page. The designer created a pleasing shape and balance with the negative space on each spread. Designing every aspect of each page.

Gorgeous graphic design // September Hit List I think this is a really cool design for a magazine. I really like how the numbers and letters fall behind photos or change colors as they go in front of photos. I also like the different fonts they are using. They similar in weight but one is a serif and the other is a san-serif.

I like the text layout, bold letter and then little paragraphs. Usually used for a double-page spread.

    Steven Alan email design

Designed by Jake Hill. I am inspired by the angled cropping of the images. It creates great eye movement, and visual interest. There's a great balance of negative and positive space throughout the layouts.
