Baby in Eternity II...

Baby in Eternity with a slightly older sister by her side to guide her into the tunnel of light gateway to their final destination resting place ( so sad they had such short innocent lives due to poor health care back in the early !

Mollie Graham Jackson (1939-97), Salem Cemetery in Winston Salem, NC. A cat & a book, not a bad way to be remembered. Her husband, the noted artist, Billy Maxwell Jackson was the sculptor. The inscription with her name & dates of birth & death are on the left end of the bench. Mrs. Jackson's godchild said that the cat is Misty, a calico Ragdoll, & the book is, perhaps, a Mary Higgins Clark mystery. #monument #gravestone #headstone

Generation Bridge Statue at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, Michigan Farther into the cemetery, you come upon a group of statues called “The Generation Bridge” by J. Seward Johnson. A grandfather in a tweed suit offers a broken Hersey bar to a little girl in a quilted pale blue outfit. He looks at her, but she gazes at the blanket in her hands. Beside him on the wooden bench sits her dolly. The sculpture is tucked back under the trees in such a way that it looks very realistic.
