Sharpie tie dye! You need to soak the shirt, prior to coloring it, in a soda water bath or, when you wash the shirt, the color will dim away. It also helps to cure it in a plastic bag for a day before drying it at high heat in the dryer to set it.

Rainbow rice ~ Inspiration: When dyeing large amounts of white rice or noodles (we just did tiny batches) instead of using food coloring and vinegar use Easter Egg Dye with vinegar! You will get amazing colors (mostly spring) with great coverage. :)

How To Color Pasta-Mix 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol and several drops of food coloring in a bag. Add pasta, seal, and place on cookie sheet (just in case the bag leaks!) You will need to let the pasta soak up the color – it is going to take about 24 hours with you turning it over several times during that process.
