Each basket has a homework checklist. Each morning, one of the students writes the date for the day and all students check their name off as their homework is turned in. The checklist is kept on top of the stack and the students just place their papers below this top sheet.

I like the idea of having a checklist at the top of the homework basket. Students check off their name as they turn it their homework folders.

Daily 5 Board idea! Then they can move it as they go! Might be alot of work, but might help them follow it.

A great way to have students turn in their homework. I don't have enough wall space, so maybe a binder OR hanging file folder?? I'd love to just not do homework....

End of the Day Dismissal Checklist from First Grade Fun on (7 pages)

Think sheet. Have the student fill this out when they have broken a classroom rule or hurt the feelings of another student, have the student reflect on their behavior and then fix the situation. I like this because it lets them think of alternatives rather than just apologizing and moving on.

i love this way of displaying objectives in the classroom. making connections to real life is so key!

This looks like a really awesome itemKeeping track of those who have turned in work and who have not. Have a list of the students names and cross them out when the kids turn in their work. So simple!

hmmmm . . . i need to re-work this into my reading homework next year. It would make reading at home more exciting

Wow, I needed this this year! I had 2 or 3 that would not capitalize or add punctuation or even try to spell correctly this year, much less put their name on their paper.
