elvis...not a huge fan myself but was amused by the autographed color portrait (yes not a multicopy snapshot) of him in my grandmothers house. Come to find out, she wrote songs for him and met him. He even went in disquise to one of my dad's basketball games. *Dad tried out for the San Antonio Spurs but then went into the air force since the draft opened while he was in San Antonio. -AR)

Elvis left us in 1977 but left behind a worldy legacy. He loved to entertain his friends at Graceland, his Memphis home. Among his favorites were the infamous peanut butter/banana sandwiches and ham bone dumplings. Long live the KING.

OMG....February 26, 1976 in the jungle room. My dad, who was a city of Memphis cop (now retired) took this picture for a Memphis reserve captain's badge for Elvis. He has never received credit for it. I remember it like it was yesterday.

December 1957...Hannerl Melcher met Elvis in Las Vegas in November 1957, and visited Graceland at Christmas time with her roommate, Kathy Gabriel, who was 1957's Miss Ohio at the 'Miss USA' contest. Hannerl was Austria's representative in the 'Miss Universe' pageant. Both contests were held July 19 in Long Beach, CA. Neither girl won their respective titles.
