XTRA MATH is amazing & my son who's in 7th grade is using it 5 days a week. He's improved his math skills & it has given him more confidence. Core math facts are the building blocks of a child’s education and essential for success with fractions, decimals, multi-digit algorithms and higher level Math. XtraMath is based on the assumption that students who regularly practice will quickly and easily recall answers when needed, freeing up mental resources for more complex problem solving.

Xtra Math website, I signed up because it looks awesome! Just like Math Facts, but for free and with no ads. The kids start with adding, then subtracting, and it goes to multiplication and division if you have kids there also. I am going to start next week.

XtraMath….you may have heard of it. If you haven’t and you have a student who needs math fact practice, boy, are you in for a treat! The idea of the site is simple – math facts practice. The method, also pretty straightforward – answer them before the time runs out. The site is different, it’s interesting for kids and makes practicing math facts fun.

When my daughter Ella was in fourth grade, she got in the car one day after school and announced her plan to run for student council. At her school each class has a representative, and I was thrilled she planned to put her name in the hat. Even if she didn't win, it would be a good experience. She told me almost every girl in her class was running, as well as one or two boys. As kindly as possible, I mentioned the boys might have an advantage since the girl votes could be split, as that c
