Last year, a 60 foot Gundam statue was built in Tokyo’s Odaiba district. This year, another 60 foot Gundam statue is built in Japan, this time with a large beam saber and in Shizuoka City. Yoshiyuki Tomino is the designer behind this structure, surely living out the dream of every Asian boy who has ever owned or built their own Gundam figurine. The statue itself was erected by Japanese company Bandai, who own the rights to the Gundam franchise.
