Homemade vegetable soup! In the crockpot! Carrots, zucchini, squash, green beans, peas, corn, potatoes, tomato paste, water. Seasoning in recipe is basil, thyme & oregano. I will add a bay leaf or two.
Ingredients 1 1/2 cups sun-dried tomato and oregano salad dressing 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves 2 red bell peppers, halved and seeded 1 head romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces 1 cup black olives, drained 4 ounces feta cheese, crumbled 1/2 cup sun-dried tomato and oregano salad dressing Marinate chicken 20-60 min in 1/2 C dressing. Grill grill peppers basting with 1/2 C dressing 1/2 C dressing over salad
Absolutely Ultimate Potato Soup I added about 1/4 cup dry white wine when I added the broth. When served I topped with shredded cheddar cheese. I use Pamela's baking and pancake mix in place of the flour (which adds flavor to the soup as well). If it's too thick add more broth. Since my broth is homemade it may also have more flavor.
FDA-approved way to quickly thaw meat. Heat pot of water to 140 degrees. (Pot will have some bubbles on bottom of pan and you should only be able to keep finger in water for 1-2 seconds.) Remove pot from heat. Place storage bag with frozen meat in water. Don't let water boil. Most meats thaw in 10 minutes, but leave in pot no longer than 45 minutes. Cook immediately.
