Geraniums are upright bushes covered with red, pink, salmon, white, rose, cherry-red, or bicolored flowers on long stems held above the plant. Flower clusters (umbels) contain many individual flowers and give a burst of color. They prefer full sun and moderate to rich, well-drained, moist soil. Geraniums must be dead-headed. Geraniums are almost a weed! They need little care and will grow grow grow!

geraniums / ATTRACTS: Monarch Butterflies. Plant with Grape Vines ♥ companion plant which attracts Downy Woodpeckers. "Red" (Pelargonium) best. Great in hanging moss baskets. Never plant near Strawberries, Flowering Dogwood, Peonies, Lily, Tulips, Roses, Fushia, Basil, Coleus or Tomatoes. "Small leaf geraniums" only attracts Bees! Must be moved indoors in Winter.
