"There is a resurrection, therefore the grave hath no victory, and the sting of death is swallowed up in Christ" (Mosiah 16:8; the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ). Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives: “I know that my Redeemer lives!” And, because He lives, we too will each live again.

Beautiful. There is something so comforting about seeing these crosses before Easter. Reminds me what an awesome God we serve.

This reminds me of a plaque my mother gave me but it said "the Lord will provide". She had it sitting on her vanity always! I had it hanging on my wall when it "disappeared".

Happy Holy Easter everyone, and Happy Palm Sunday to my Orthodox friends. Easter 2012.

Our church saves the wood from the Christmas tree to make a cross for Good Friday. On Good Friday it is draped with black cloth. On Easter the wood is wrapped (like you would wrap an ace bandage). On Easter members of the congregation bring flowers from their gardens, which are attached by slipping the stems into the edges of the wrapped cloth.
