Newport, Rhode Island: one of my favorite retreat destinations in the warmer months. Such a beautiful historic New England town, only a few hours north of NYC! Great for a weekend trip. Visit the Newport mansions, walk the famous cliff walk or drive along the coast and take in the beautiful ocean scenery. Have a bowl of Rhode Island's clear broth clam chowder at The Landing.
