"Do you know how hard it is to find images like that on the internet? I won’t say it’s impossible, but damn if it doesn’t seem like they aren’t outnumbered a dozen to one by Instamatic photos of thighs that don’t touch." -Fit and Feminist

My thighs just do that whole "you can see light between them" thing. Really for me it's no indicator of my current fitness. (You are really making me think about how we get hung up on these little things, pointing to one little part or another!)

There's nothing wrong with thighs that don't touch (or even taking pictures of them), but when so much of our "fitspo" is really just disembodied body parts (thighs, abs, butt), we reduce ourselves and our inspiration to very limited, narrow, and most likely unattainable standards of beauty. I like fitspo that focuses on the strength and ability of the body (regardless of its size) because I work out to get strong, not to have the perfect abs.

I've noticed lots of them that talk about having a totally fit body AND having a booty.... discouraging that there is supposed to be mass in certain places and not others!
