Classroom Management: Brain Breaks and Transitions. Kinetic activities to wake your kids up! Favorite choices include Trading Places (students switch seats if they have the trait a teacher calls out), Dance Party (crank up the tunes for a wiggle break), and Would You Rather (students move to one side of the room or another to indicate their choice). Very fun!

This is a website with many different brain break ideas. I think brain breaks are very important because my students are just kids. School hours are long and require students to sit still for more time then they can handle. I think brain breaks are a great idea to get students moving and having a little fun to refresh themselves and their minds. Students are more then just test scores and brain breaks can show the students that the teacher cares for them and how their bodies are feeling throughout the school day.
