Milagros means "miracles". These traditional metal charms are used to help that saint perform a miracle (hence the word "milagro"). There is supposedly a milagro for virtually every animal, every organ and every imaginable malady. I was smitten by the metalwork and repousse. This was a stealth shot. I got quite sneaky with my little spy camera.

The “cheese-melt” theory of collectivism feeds directly into the worship of machines: “Individuals are weak and helpless. Therefore, they have to melt down into a collective glob, in order to survive. And from that collective point of view, machines loom up as the most powerful entities in the world. Bow, pray to the Artificial Intelligence.” -- Jon Rappoport

VILLA VALENTINA Abstract metal sculptures, dangling lanterns, and large rustic earthenware dominate the interior courtyard at Villa Valentina, a family-owned restaurant, cocktail bar, and home décor studio all rolled into one. Just as creative as the design is the menu, which features adobo-marinated gorditas de conejo, and a slow-cooked Baja lobster bisque, thickened with brandy, brown rice flour, and a hint of red pepper.
