Paul Poiret | c. 1933
I love Poiret’s emphasis on the back of his dresses. he did this because of his love of dancing, especially tango, where the front of the dress would be pressed closely against the wearer’s partner and no one would see it anyway.

I showed this to @Peter Norman and asked him if he'd take me to prom in this dress. He said no. He's seen this dress come down the runway so many times, Someone puts 200 napkins on a dress and calls it a gown. (if you don't watch project runway this won't make sense)
4. this would defiantly be a dress I couldn't keep my eyes off of. it's very pretty and not trashy. I'm a sucker for rhinestones but would rather have straps because I'm always paranoid about it falling down. but this dress is absolutely gorgeous and any girl could pull it off. especially brunettes.
