"The first cup moistens my lips and throat. The second cup breaks my loneliness...I only feel the breath of the cool wind that raises in my sleeves. Where is Elysium? Let me ride on this sweet breeze and waft away thither. (Lu Tung, Tea-Drinking)" Coffe Stained, Shades, Teas Inspiration, Teas Time, Teas Cups, Colors, Winter Fun, Drinks, Teacups
Teatime cupcakes I am not one to use tea cups for anything other than tea, but this is the first time I have seen an idea that works. It does not destroy the cup or create a tacky DIY...just slip in a cupcake...trying to figure out whether one slips it out of the cup to eat or eat within the cup. This pic shows the cake liner...hmmm...something to consider, but not 100% sure.
"And the birds of all your yellow teacups sing, and you know this hymn. Somehow, knowing what you do know, still you tremble out and in. Oh I know it, I know it, here is God beside. I meant it, oh I meant - I am sure of that. But the sky is tall and heavy, when I could be brave." ~ The Innocence Mission, Brave
I love these. I immediately thought of the claymation film "Mary and Max" Narrator: "Her favourite tea bag was Earl Grey. She loved saying "Earl Grey" and would like one day to marry someone called Earl Grey. They would live in a castle in Scotland, have 9 babies, 2 ducks...and a dog called Kevin."
