    I guess you could say I want to go to EVERY zoo... but I've heard alot of great things about the Brookfield Zoo outside of Chicago, Illinois.

    Binti Jua, an 8-year-old female gorilla, shot into the spotlight when in 1996 she carried an injured 3-year-old boy to a service gate after the child fell 18 feet to a concrete floor in the primate exhibit at the Brookfield Zoo in Illinios.

    A large male eastern black rhino named Jimma, originally a resident of Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, has arrived at his new home at Chicago's Brookfield Zoo. Jimma made the six-hour trip by truck with a keeper from Cleveland who will stay in Chicago for a couple days to help the rhino acclimate to his new surroundings. The transfer to Brookfield was recommended by the Black Rhino Species Survival Plan of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

    The Chicago Zoological Society, which manages Brookfield Zoo, is happy to announce its newest addition, and a first for the zoo: a Black-footed Cat born on February 14.
