This looks so easy and tasty! Update: I made this today (4-4-12). It was not very good. I won't ever make it again.

Going to try this but modified. I don't have Herbs De Provence so I'm not sure what I will rub it with. I don't have red peppers so I'll layer the bottom with onion and carrots and stuff the bird with apples, carrots and onion. We'll see how it tastes.

Looks good - I never use my crock pot but might try this - looks like a good use! From the Country Cook

The rice is already steamed before being put in the crock? Seems like it would end up mushy.

  • Francine Regin

    Serve on bisquets

Elena Kovyrzina I think the directions mean to steam rice but do not put rice in crockpot. Just keep rice separate and serve crockpot recipe over steamed rice. :-) sounds delish.

Oops sorry Elena Kovyrzina that comment was for Elena Hemphill's comment ^^^^

  • Alicia Alfaro

Oh sorry I do see it says mix rice. Hmm well maybe you could try leaving rice out just in case so it won't be mushy? I'd like to try this.
