J D, Worth Reading, Salinger, Catcher, High School, Books Worth, Favorite Book, Rye
The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger. Another book we had to read in high school. It was "behind the counter" at the library. I never could understand what all the fuss was about, actually.
a book worth reading to say the least... It's the most popular Salinger but the others are even better... Wish there were more
"The Catcher in the Rye": Read "Catcher in the Rye" because Salinger gets you. He knows what it's like to want to save a world that may not necessarily appreciate what you have to offer. It's worth reading if you feel an earnest need to know you're not alone on this planet.
Enjoyed reading this in high school. Holden Caulfield is the perfect antihero; a tough talking teenage icon with a rebellious streak on a self identity journey. The Catcher In the Rye, by JD Salinger. This book is one of the earlier examples to feature much profanity within it's pages (for 1951 at least). Holden's mind is a delight to be inside, give it a read.

Worth Reading, God, Books Worth, Shack, Amazing Book, Favorite Books, Paul Young
The Shack By: WM. Paul Young Completed: July 11, 2009 250 pages (Provided a very touching and interesting view on God; “Three in One”. After hearing how AMAZING this book was, I was a bit disappointed, but on the other hand the story was a good one.)
The Shack is an amazing book that gives a whole new insight on what a relationship with God can really be like! I LOVED IT!
The Shack by Wm. Paul Young (2007) - An interesting take on god's relationship with one man. It's a unique idea combined with good writing and characters. I found it lovely and would read it again.
The Shack by Wm. Paul Young. this treasure of a book is about living in a broken world filled with tragedy and finding the hope and peace that only our amazing God can give.
The Shack by William P Young -Originally self-published as a fictional faith memoir of sorts for his children, this book has made it to the bestseller's lists. Mr. Young makes you look at your brokenness and God's goodness from a new angle...one of my favorite books.
Paul Young's "The Shack" gives you a different overview from God. it takes away many preconceptions of God and makes you understand he's warm, forgiving, compassionate and loving above all.
The Shack... THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOKS EVER. LOVE THIS STORY ON HOW GOD RESTORES.
Amazing book & this quote says it best: "The Shack is a one of a kind invitation to journey to the very heart of God. Through my tears and cheers, I have been indeed transformed by the tender mercy with which William Paul Young opened the veil that too often separated me from God and from myself. With every page, the complicated do’s and don’t that distort a relationship into a religion were washed away as I understood Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for the first time in my life." ~ Patrick M. Roddy, Emmy Award Winning Producer of ABC News
wm paul young - the shack - a book worth reading
When I taught I gave this book to the 3 or 4 kids who let the strongest imprint on me.... I know, I know... you aren't supposed to have "favorites" but the fact is, some kids really are special.

Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss: "KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS!... Your mountain is waiting... So...get on your way!" ~Dr. Seuss Oh the Places You ll Go
Oh, the Places Youll Go! Dr. Seuss, I got this book for a graduation present from my favorite teacher. This is an amazing and touching book for adults but is designed like a children's book.
Oh, the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss. Got this for a high school graduation gift, and it's amazing.
Start early to create an amazing high school or college graduation gift for your child! Buy "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" by Dr. Seuss and have teachers sign it at the end of each school year. Wish I'd thought of this when mine were little!
Oh, the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss I received this book for a high school graduation gift from my mom. Loved it as a kid, and still means so much to me!
“Oh, the Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss. Give your kids' teachers the book to sign at the end of each school year. When your child graduates from high school you present the book them. Awesome keepsake!
"And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and 3/4 percent guaranteed). KID, YOU'LL MOVE MOUNTAINS! So... be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ali Van Allen O'Shea, you're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So... get on your way!" - Dr. Seuss from Oh, The Places You'll Go! Have the kids teacher each year take a page and write something about the child. Give as a graduation gift from high school.
A perennial favorite, Dr. Seuss’s wonderfully wise graduation speech is the perfect send-off for children starting out in the world, be they nursery school, high school, or college grads! From soaring to high heights and seeing great sights to being left in a Lurch on a prickle-ly perch, Dr. Seuss addresses life’s ups and downs with his trademark humorous verse and illustrations, while encouraging readers to find the success that lies within. In a starred review, Booklist notes: “Seuss’s message is simple but never sappy: life may be a ‘Great Balancing Act,’ but through it all ‘There’s fun to be done.’”
Anything by Dr. Seuss is worth reading, but this one especially!

This was the first book I read by Agatha Christie and I am so happy to have read it. 10 strangers with one common act are lead to a rural island house where one by one they are being murdered. Murdered in order by which their consciousness are most tarnished. Will you be able to figure out who the murderer is? #Murder #mystery #novel #agathachristie
19. May 2, 2015 And Then There Were None After reading Murder On the Orient Express, I was interested in reading more Agatha Christie books. I found this one even better than MOTOE. A fast-paced, captivating read!

Another must read before watching movie!!! -Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I'm going to be honest this is far from my favorite book. It's ridiculously long and Scarlett O'Hara is such an annoying character that you really love to hate, while simultaneously hoping that she comes to her freaking senses and realizes she loves Rhett. It's painful. But it is a classic that I think if you can handle it, go for it.

The Fountainhead - One of my all te favorites.
Worth Reading, Atlas Shrugged, Books Worth, Favorite Books, Aynrand, Ayn Rand
"The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand - Although I am not one to fully buy into Rand's ideals of objectivism, she writes a beautiful, rich description of a young architect and his unwillingness to bend his asthetics to the tastes of his would-be clients. Who wouldn't love Howard Roark?
Fountainhead. It has always been a tossup as to which Ayn Rand book I preferred more. Was it Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged. I do think Fountainhead slightly edges as top pick. Loved this book and have read it a couple of times. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0452273331/ref=as_li_tf_il?ie=UTF8=perfstor07-20_code=as3=211189=373489=0452273331
Fountainhead, Ayn Rand - I am an architect so I might be bias as every architect dreams of being Howard Roark but in my top five books. Great story, it is long but the character dynamics are riviting.
The Fountainhead- Ayn Rand currently reading this one..howard roarke the coolest architect! :D
This book had a huge impact on my philosophy of life. Ayn Rand is undoubtedly one of those authors who could move mountains with her thoughts. Loved the way she has objectified life and through her characters has clearly enriched our lives. Absolutely adore the character Howard roark and there are other strong characters which have a deep impact on you. After reading the book I started questioning lots of ideals which I had presumed were right.
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. One of my favorite books!

A classic read-aloud in the classroom! How The Grinch Stole Christmas By Dr. Seuss #holidays #reading
How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss. Price: $14.00; Ages: 4-8. The Grinch is probably the most popular of all holiday villains. In Dr. Seuss' modern classic, the Grinch plots to steal Christmas from the happy Whos of Whoville. However, he's in for an unexpected change of heart as he comes to understand the true meaning of the holiday.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas - "The Grinch hated Christmas! The whole Christmas season! / Now, please don't ask why. No one quite knows the reason." Dr. Seuss's small-hearted Grinch ranks right up there with Scrooge when it comes to the crankiest, scowling holiday grumps of all time. For 53 years, the Grinch has lived in a cave on the side of a mountain, looming above the Whos in Whoville.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss: The Grinch, whose heart is two sizes too small, hates Who-ville's holiday celebrations, and plans to steal all the presents to prevent Christmas from coming. To his amazement, Christmas comes anyway, and the Grinch discovers the true meaning of the holiday...
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a children's story by Dr. Seuss written in rhymed verse with illustrations by the author. It was published as a book by Random House in 1957, and at approximately the same time in an issue of Redbook. Critics argue that the book criticizes the commercialization of Christmas and satirizes those who profit from exploiting the holiday.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! by Dr. Seuss - Age 4 and up - Hardcover - No holiday book collection is complete without the classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas! This story of Whoville and its Grinch with a heart two sizes too small has been entertaining children since 1957.
