    plastic bottle + vegetable oil (half fill the bottle) + water (fill the rest of the bottle + 10 drops food coloring + alka-seltzer (broken into pieces, placed 1 at a time into the bottle) = lava bottle

    Magic Mud!...This stuff is amazing. Mix 2 cups of cornstarch and 1 cup water in a bowl. To color it, add a few drops of food coloring to the water before adding to the cornstarch. Takes some effort to mix the water and cornstarch. If you quickly smack it with your hand it immediately turns into a solid, instead of splashing or moving. If you slowly move it reacts like a liquid....Kids will love this...I know because I do!!

    Paint- 1 cup salt, 1 cup flour, 1 c water, food coloring.

    Soap Clouds anyone? Microwave a bar of Ivory soap while your little one watches in amazement as it turns into a huge "cloud." Then, break the cloud to pieces, and help them make their own new soap. A fun activity for parents and little ones to do together!
