    When you have a lot of fresh garlic, my mother-in-law, Anne Malecki, taught me to mince all and store it in a 1/4" layer in quart-size ziplock bags in the freezer. You just break off a piece when you need it for cooking. It will 'melt' in the pan in seconds. Most convenient way to have fresh garlic when you have too much to keep fresh.

Grow Garlic From the Grocery Store.Pick out the biggest cloves for planting. The end with the flat part is the root of the garlic. Plant the cloves so they’re around 4 inches apart and their tips are covered by an inch or two of dirt.Cover them up and wait. Through the fall the clove will start to develop roots and maybe even a shoot depending on how warm your weather is.

How to plant garlic (one clove produces up to twenty more) - you can always have fresh garlic! Never ending garlic!!!

Garlic In fall, plant individual cloves 4 inches deep with the pointed ends up. Cover the planting with at least 3 inches of mulch.
