Holiday Sangria. The best of what is available during the fall and winter holidays - cranberry, pomegranate, orange, apple, and of course a good white wine.
Mint Melon Sangria Ingredients: 1 ½ cups diced watermelon 1 ½ cups diced cantaloupe 1 ½ cups diced honeydew melon 2 cups ice 10 mint leaves Juice from ¼ lime 2 bottles sparkling white wine Directions: Pour all of the diced melons in a large glass pitcher. Top with ice. Gently muddle mint leaves with the lemon juice. Add to pitcher. Pour wine in last and stir with a wooden spoon.
This sounds great for sipping around the pool. Sangria Ingredients 1 small carton of raspberries 1 small carton of strawberries 1 lime 2 apples, granny smith and a braeburn 1 bottle of white wine ( I use Pinot Grigio if I want it sweeter or Sauvignon Blanc if I want it not so sweet) ** 1/2 cup of white grape juice 1 can of club soda (can use tonic water too)** Mint leaves for garnish
Summer Sangria Combine 1x750 ml bottle dry white wine, 60ml Contreau, 250ml of lemonade in a pitcher or jug. Add sliced lemons and limes, nectarines, strawberries and mint leaves and stir to combine. Add crushed ice to serve. Note: an aromatic white wine such as riesling or sauvignon blanc would be great for this sangria
