Sea Glass Effect on Candlesticks. Elmer's Glue poured into a cup and then add small amounts of Food Coloring until you like the color. Then use a soft paint brush to paint the item. It's amazing after it dries, it really dries transparent. You don't need a sealer but if you want to use one, you can try PermEnamel Sealer (from somewhere like Hobby Lobby or Michael's). It might be perfect to seal the glue/food coloring on vases if you intend to have water around them.

Paint Elmer's glue and food coloring on clean, dry glass and it will dry to a seaglass effect. Instructions: I used Elmer's Glue poured into a cup and then added small amounts of Wilton's Food Coloring until I liked the color Then I used a soft paint brush . It's amazing after it dries it really dries transparent. You don't need a sealer. // Did this with a mason jar - glue was kind of clumpy here and there. Might try it again with candlesticks though.
