    Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice: I don't know what sort of magic sauce they use at hibachi places, but I've yet to find a fried rice recipe that tastes as good as or better than what I've gotten at restaurants. I would recommend using butter or olive oil rather than Sesame Oil, and only half the called for amount of soy sauce. Replace the other half with teriyaki sauce. Cook your chicken with teriyaki as well, and this dish is amazing! I use bell pepper instead of peas and carrots.

I am an authority, however, on what is super incredibly yummy. This rice gets my stamp of approval, with honors.     Better-Than-Takeout Chicken Fried Rice I do it the way Rob does. I use low-sodium soy sauce, add bamboo shoots and keep it meatless, sometimes adding shrimp. Some grocery stores that have Asian food bars have plain steamed white rice you can buy the day before, or make brown boil-in-the-bag rice a day ahead, Yum!
