Barbed wire heart. I think we all have a developed few barbs around hearts trying to protect ourselves from hurt.
@Christine Roach and @Kayli McCrea this is something I would have done - since I love rustic cowboy crap, but look at the bricks. They look white-trashy just like our house!

No heart can be unlocked or locked. A human heart can be replaced. But Love's heart is a different thing. It takes no food, but must be nourished. It needs no shelter, but must be protected. It stands alone, but needs companions. It makes no sound, but must be heard. It has no function, but must be attuned. It cannot die, but must be maintained to do more than just survive. To have one you must be willing to give it all away.
