Give this highway a name - Highway #1, Intersection 105 & 110, Los Angeles, California USA, 2003 This image was the first time Edward Burtynsky utilized a helicopter to take a photograph, a technique that enabled him to develop his striking use of aerial viewpoints. Los Angeles is the home of the suburb and freeway, and owes its existence to oil and the motor industry. Highway #1, a four layered intersection, is pictured here as a series of abstract interwoven ribbons.

Either way, today this white basilica is a romantic reference for those who visit it. Don't miss the view from its viewpoint. One of the best of Paris.
