Failing that bury pebbles, bottle caps, magnet letters etc and get them to 'find' them in the salt/sand & place them on a matching sheet nearby or even back into the container nearby whilst helper sounds out the letter they found and shows it to them for a moment.

fold the tab down when you find the letter. this is great because my girl is seeing signs and saying "adc's!" because she recognizes they are letters. i've been trying to find a fun way to spot specific letters. another thing we've tried is bringing a little paper with a big E and little e, then just looking for the Ee's in signs at the store.

Monday, February 16, 2009 Letter Search For this activity I had this foam alphabet puzzle that I got for 88 cents at Walmart:) and a dish of rice. I popped out all the letters and mixed them in with the rice. I set this up in the sensory tub so Caden already new the rules and everything would stay neat. Here is a picture of how I set this activity up.
