Pinner says: Almond poppyseed bread: My ALL TIME favorite recipe! This is my teacher gift, my office Christmas gift, my Christmas gift to everyone, my welcome to the neighborhood gift, my son's birthday cake, my fall/winter go to!!!
One of my favorite desserts! I have taken this to many friend's homes, and everyone always falls in love with it. I usually add raspberries, and serve with vanilla ice cream and a homemade raspberry sauce. Also, I use 1 cup of sugar and sprinkle just 1 tbs on top (instead of 1/4 cup)
Supper Simple Cobbler (great for pitch ins) Double up the recipe if you are looking to make a standard casserole (9x12) dish. If fresh berries are not available use cheery pie filling (canned) or sliced peaches (canned) toss peaches in a little brown sugar and sprinkle a little on top to. Way cheaper than buying a frozen one from the store
Sweet fresh peaches are cooked on the stovetop to make a thick and juicy fruit filling, topped with a homemade biscuit mixture, and baked until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream, whipped topping, or ice cream.
