More to explore:
The Flume Covered Bridge utilizes a Paddleford truss, a support structure created by builder Peter Paddleford in the 19th century and used in many New England covered bridges. Located in Lincoln, New Hampshire, in Franconia Notch State Park, the bridge crosses the Pemigewasset River and is a part of the road leading to the Flume, a natural 800-foot gorge.
NEW HAMPSHIRE is a great place to explore by automobile, RV, motorcycle, or bicycle ... back roads, charming towns villages, splendid vistas, farmlands, deep forests, mountain passes ... I am particularly partial to the State's 54 historic covered bridges.
