Baked Mozzarella Sticks. These were pretty good, like the recipe says you have to eat them right out of the oven (when they cool off a little) otherwise they aren't good. The breading was really yummy and they were great dipped in marinara sauce. They weren't as good as restaurant style ones, not as soft and creamy but still good for making them at home. And easy too!
Jalapeno Popper Pulls Mix cream cheese, bacon, and jalapenos and spread between partially sliced loaf of sourdough. Top with shredded monterey jack and extra toppings (and maybe drizzle a little butter!) Bake in foil for 15 minutes
3 cups (400 grams) bread flour 1/2 teaspoon table salt 3/4 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon instant or other active dry yeast 1 1/2 cups (350 grams) cool 55-65F water additional flour for dusting 20 pieces of the any combination of following: whole garlic cloves, whole olives, halved cherry tomatoes 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil 3/4 teaspoon coarse sea salt or kosher salt
Cheddar Bacon Ranch Pulls 1 unsliced loaf of (round) sourdough bread 8-12 oz cheddar cheese, thinly sliced 3 oz bag Oscar Mayer Real Bacon bits 1/2 cup butter, melted 1 Tbsp Ranch dressingmix cut the bread going both directions. Don't cut through bottom crust. Place slices of cheese in between cuts. Sprinkle bacon on bread. Mix together butter and Ranch dressing mix. Pour over bread. Wrap entire loaf in foil, place on baking sheet. Bake at 350, 15 minutes. Unwrap. Bake until cheese is melted.
Bloomin' Onion Bread. Made this tonight stuffed with mozzarella cheese, fresh basil and oregano from the garden, and slices of red onion. The whole thing was drizzled with butter melted with pepper and garlic. Baked for about 20 minutes. Served with potato soup. Kevin about died. He ate himself sick. Lol.
