simple mazes I'm wondering if I made a map of our most frequented places (home, school, library, Walgreens, etc) if my son could show me the path on a homemade map. He's always telling me "turn right" or "turn left" if we drive by a desired place. Clearly he's paying attention.

Blank Lego Person - I have used this to have kids make characters from books, historical figures, community helpers. The kids love it!

It is important that kids realize we read for lots of reasons - and one of those reasons is to learn something new! Use picture books to introduce your little ones to concepts such as counting. It brings together the joy of reading with the joy of learning. Don't worry if they don't "get it" the first time through! Just have fun learning together.
