Wish we had done a memory jar when the kids were coming up.....put funny notes or big events and such in a jar throughout the year and then read them on New Year's Eve.

Throughout the year, write down memories that made you smile. On New Year's Eve, open it up and reread all of the good stuff that made the year wonderful. Awesome tradition to start! (I did something similar. Put memories of my mom and me in a jar for a Mother's Day gift.)

Have family members add memories throughout the year and then read on New Years Eve or make a memory jar for a parent or grandparent of your kids and your favorite and funniest memories of them. It is a great and meaningful holiday gift!

Memory jar. Add memories throughout the year and then read them together on New Year's Eve. New family tradition for us! I always kick myself for not writing funny things down that the kids say or do! At the end of the year I will type them up and include them with our family photo album for that year.

Write down kids' antics, quotes, etc. on notes of paper and keep them in a jar. Cute idea via Kelly McCaleb. --If I did this for Karsen, I would have to have a VERY large jar. More like a beverage dispenser. lol
