Egg word letters and object inside plastic egg & other educational activities using Easter Eggs!

Egg word scramble This is an activity for older children who are working on spelling.  All you need is some alphabet letters and either matching objects or pictures.  Place both the letters and the object in the same egg.  Explain to your child that each egg contains an object (or picture) and the letters that spell that object.  Then have them open the egg and see if they can spell the word.

Finally, a great way to use all those empty (hmmm...I'll have to check for chocolate) plastic Easter eggs! lol

Homemade plastic jellyfish... I love the Jelly exhibit at the Monterey Bay Aquarium!

Great way to teach reading - word family eggs - I changed this up a little for speech therapy. Each egg I wrote on in sharpie marker and I did initial and final sounds that they could twist the egg to create new words that started or ended with their sound. I give them these while I'm working one on one with another student
