I’ve finally finished my piece for the Animo Creative exhibition, based on the Roman myth Peleus and Thetis from Ovid’s Metamorphoses!

Camilla Perkins is a Brighton-based illustrator whose images are inspired by "encountered oddities, whether human, flora or fauna.

Amasunzu 1 (2016 Acrylic, Emulsion, Enamel & Ink on Wooden Board) These two paintings were inspired by African Barber shop signs, I love the colours and graphic text and wanted to emulate that look but with a twist. I focused on the traditional Rwandan Amasunzu hairstyle, I think it’s a look that really needs a comeback!
