Jack N told me his Uncle Donny customized this guitar from scavenged pieces of a satellite that crashed into his backyard sometime during the summer of '56. After the modifications were made, however, he claimed that playing it made him queasy and paranoid. Jack traded him for a banjo, but said he was never comfortable playing the guitar either. I traded Jack an old Dodge truck for the guitar. I won't play it.
Darren Thompson contracted so violently when he was electrocuted at San Cornelius prison, in 1967, that the arms of the chair broke. The pieces were used by William Muldover to repair an old bass electric guitar he played in the prison church ensemble "The Caged Angels" . . . Might explain the odd, but pleasant, tone.
